LEXINGTON, Ky. — The University of Kentucky announced that the 55th Annual University of Kentucky Pest Control Short Course is scheduled for Tuesday, Nov. 3, through Thursday, Nov. 5, in Lexington, Ky.
The annual educational event will feature presentations from industry experts covering the latest research, management strategies and safety practices for structural pest management. Topics on this year's agenda include Big Problems with Small Flies, Advances in Ant Biology and Management, Staying Safe While on the Route, Hidden Threats: Mastering the Art of Managing Unseen Pests, Tips for Ticks, What Is IPM?, Practical Pest Identification and additional sessions.
Featured speakers include Richard Spencer, Stan Cope, Fred Strickland, Shannon Sked, Karen Vail, Anna Iversen and Harry Bryan, along with other industry and academic experts.
Organizers said this year's program offers practical, research-based training designed to help pest management professionals stay current on emerging issues and improve their technical knowledge.
