BRONX, N.Y. — JP McHale Pest Management, an Anticimex company, has acquired Dependable Exterminating. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed. The deal closed in November 2025.
Founded in the mid-1980s by Ziggy Gruen, Dependable Exterminating served residential and commercial customers across New York City for nearly 40 years. The company said it built its reputation on consistent service, experienced technicians and long-standing customer relationships throughout the five boroughs.
“I feel very good about the JP McHale team and the direction they’re taking the company,” the seller said. “I think they’ll take great care of the business and the people.”
Kemp Anderson Consulting represented Dependable Exterminating in the transaction. “Kemp Anderson Consulting made what could have been a complicated process feel smooth and manageable," the seller said. "I don’t think I could have done it without them.”
