Washington, D.C. – Despite cloudy skies and threats of tornadoes, there were lots of bright spots for the pest management industry at 2026’s NPMA Legislative Day.

Jim Fredericks (center) said 2025 was huge for the Alliance.

At the Professional Pest Management Alliance (the Alliance) Board of Directors meeting on March 15, Alliance Executive Director Jim Fredericks reported that the organization generated its highest revenue ever in 2025: $3.17 million. That’s half a million dollars more than any previous year. “We had a huge 2025,” he said.

With those dollars, the Alliance was able to invest in consumer and commercial efforts that resulted in more than 6 billion total impressions (that number now includes mobile impressions). Other highlights for the year include:

  • 1,700+ consumer media placements (a 126% increase compared to last year)
  • 49 earned articles in commercial publications
  • 5.5 million website sessions
  • 78,000+ broadcast PSA airings (worth an estimated $12.2 million in ad value)

Fredericks has been traveling around the country, making visits to state association meetings and individual pest management firms, to spread the word about and drum up support for the Alliance. “It’s a wonderful life working for the Alliance,” he said.

Six new PMP Guardians joined the Alliance since October 2025, including:

In addition, on the supplier side, Nisus is a new Guardian. Other new suppliers and PMPs supporting the Alliance include PestLocal and the Oregon Terminix franchise (both at the Advocate level) and VoiceforPest (Benefactor). Guardians agree to donate one-tenth of one percent of annual revenue; Advocates donate one-half of one-tenth of one percent of annual revenue.

Fredericks and his team outlined several new 2026 initiatives to support the industry, including:

  • For the first time ever, Ant Awareness Week will be celebrated April 12-18.
  • A task force will be created to reach out to more suppliers to join the Alliance’s efforts.
  • A social media program designed to counter natural DIY pest control with “Don’t Try This at Home,” a large-scale campaign emphasizing the importance of working with pros.
  • Expanding PestWorld.org’s commercial section with industry-specific pages, research and interactive calculators that help demonstrate the financial consequences of infestations to business customers.

In addition, a task force will be created to review, update and modernize the Alliance’s bylaws.

The Professional Pest Management Alliance is the unified voice of the pest management industry — a collective of pest control companies and suppliers working together to build consumer demand for professional pest management services. Through national marketing programs, the Alliance says it educates residential and commercial audiences about the real threats pests pose to health, property and quality of life.
