Allergy Technologies Showcases ATAHC Pest Strategy at NJNAHRO

ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. — Allergy Technologies showcased its innovative ATAHC (Allergy Technologies Affordable Housing Control) Programs at the New Jersey Chapter of the National Association of Housing & Redevelopment Officials (NJNAHRO) 2026 Spring Conference & Trade Show, held April 26–29 at the Borgata Hotel in Atlantic City.

The annual conference brought together housing authority leaders, commissioners, and industry partners from across New Jersey to explore solutions to pressing challenges in affordable housing, with a strong emphasis on networking, training, and new technologies.

As a vendor exhibitor, Allergy Technologies engaged NJNAHRO members directly, introducing the ATAHC Programs, property-wide, prevention-based approaches proven to help affordable housing communities effectively manage pest problems and solve them long-term.

A Smarter Approach to Pest Control. Allergy Technologies said ATAHC moves beyond traditional reactive pest control by treating entire buildings as connected ecosystems. The programs integrate early detection, long-lasting preventative tools (including Allergy Technologies’ ActiveGuard Mattress Liners for bed bugs), resident education and cooperation and ongoing monitoring to reduce reintroductions and stop new infestations before they spread.

Originally developed to combat bed bugs, ATAHC has expanded to address additional structural pests such as cockroaches and rodents through its comprehensive ATAHC Plus programmatic option.

Proven Results for Housing Authorities. ATAHC has demonstrated measurable outcomes in affordable housing settings, including significant reductions in operational costs and staff time spent on repeated treatments. By focusing on prevention and resident engagement, the Programs help housing authorities improve living conditions while stabilizing budgets.

The manufacturer said a cornerstone of ATAHC is its emphasis on collaboration with residents. The programs hire residents as on-site coordinators/liaisons through Section 3 to build trust, improve access to units, and support education efforts, leading to higher participation and more effective long-term results.

Allergy Technologies said the program has been adopted by the Philadelphia Housing Authority (4th largest US affordable housing market) for both beds bugs and other public health nuisance pasts for over five years with glowing results. ATAHC recently delivered comparable results in its work with the Rockford Housing Authority.
