Vanecto Cockroach gel bait is now available for pest management professionals (PMPs). With a label that includes Reduced-Risk status from the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and no personal protective equipment (PPE) required, Vanecto Cockroach is labeled to control a broad spectrum of cockroaches including German, American, brown-banded and more, Syngenta said. Vanecto Cockroach is powered by PLINAZOLIN technology and features the first novel mode of action (IRAC Group 30) introduced to the pest control industry in two decades, Syngenta said. The active ingredient affects cockroaches’ nervous systems by binding at the GABA receptor and inhibiting the flow of chloride ions through the channel, leading to exhaustion and death, according to the company.

Coast has released a new report titled “Inside Fleet Spending: What Efficient Fleets Do Differently.” Built from hundreds of thousands of anonymized card transactions across numerous service industries, including pest control, the report gives fleet operators real benchmarks for fuel spend by industry, region, fleet size, and season, the company said. The report is designed to help business owners and fleet managers understand how their fuel spend compares to peers doing the same type of work and where the biggest opportunities for improvement are hiding. For example, among pest control fleets, the report benchmarks average spend at $271 per vehicle per month, the lowest of any trade industry in the data, with July as the peak spending month.

Coalmarch Marketing

Coalmarch Marketing announced a new return-on-investment reporting capability for pest control operators using PestPac. The feature connects digital marketing activity with closed sales and revenue data. According to the company, the update integrates data such as phone calls and form submissions with sales outcomes recorded in PestPac. By linking marketing activity to booked and closed jobs, the system is intended to provide operators with clearer insight into financial results. Coalmarch said many pest control companies measure marketing performance using metrics like lead volume or cost per lead, which may not reflect overall return on investment. The company said the reporting capability is designed to align marketing activity with recorded sales results within PestPac. It is available to clients using the firm’s marketing services at present.
