With two decades of pest management experience under his belt, Kyle Ponton is a seasoned professional known for his expertise, professionalism and problem-solving ability. Kyle is passionate about using trending information and root cause analysis to get to the source of pest management challenges.
Recently, Kyle was called to a distribution warehouse challenged by a severe rodent issue, later determined to originate from an infested shipment of pallets. As a result, shipping was halted, and their customer’s trust was on the line. Using Integrated Pest Management techniques, Kyle took a strategic, science-backed approach. He identified sources, deployed targeted exclusion tactics and implemented an inbound inspection program tailored to the warehouse’s workflow. Instead of relying solely on traps and bait, he focused on long-term prevention — reducing food sources, sealing vulnerabilities, fumigation and training staff to identify conducive conditions. Within days, the infestation was eliminated, and the warehouse was back in operation and shipping orders.
