Andrew Cabral is the hygiene monitoring and allergen specialist at Neogen. During the past eight years, Cabral has enabled manufacturers to mitigate risk and boost productivity. Allergen thresholds are a hot topic of debate without clear regulations; using firsthand experience, Cabral has been instrumental in developing a risk-based approach tailored to each situation. He has provided guidance to various industries, including assisting organizations in audit preparation, conducting assessments for environmental monitoring and preventing allergen cross-contact contamination.
Cabral is passionate about delivering excellence through innovation, sustainability and accuracy, and is committed to encouraging a holistic food safety culture that includes departments outside of quality assurance and sanitation. He’s worked with and learned from some of the largest and most dynamic brands in their respective industries, helping them achieve resiliency and scale programs as necessary to grow in a complicated marketplace.
Cabral is active in food safety organizations and frequently leads industry discussions on best practices and regulatory maturity. He has served as a presenter at many conferences and roundtable discussions.
