California Natural Products Compliance Manager Bruce Ferree, CFS, has received the 2015 Calvert Willey Award for his outstanding, enthusiastic, and unique volunteer leadership to IFT for more than three decades. In addition to making substantial contributions, Ferree has chaired 18 committees, task forces, or award juries, as well as two IFT sections. He provides exceptional support to the IFT Student Association, having been the top fundraiser for nine straight years.
The Calvert L. Willey Award honors an individual who has provided continuing, meritorious and imaginative service to IFT. The nominee must have been a professional member of IFT for 15 years or more, a member of IFT for 25 years or more, or on the IFT staff for 25 years or more. The primary consideration is continuing service to the Institute, rather than specific contributions to research, education, or development. Qualification is based on dedication, unique service, and supreme effort on behalf of IFT.
