Plantpeddler's 2026 Variety Day will take place Aug. 7 at the Plantpeddler Young Plant Facility and Trial Gardens in Cresco, Iowa.
More than 1,500 varieties will be on display in containers, baskets and beds. Breeder representatives will be in the gardens and available throughout the day.
Presentations run concurrently on the main stage; this year’s keynote speaker is Raymond Cloyd of Kansas State University.
A trade show of event sponsors along with greenhouse tours round out the day, which runs from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Continental breakfast and lunch will be served. All horticulture industry professionals are welcome.
For those arriving the day before, on Thursday evening, the Gooder family and the Plantpeddler team are hosting “Feast at the Farm,” with music, BBQ and fellowship, at Stone Creek Farm, the legacy family farm, starting at 6 p.m.
Shuttle bus services will be available to and from area motels.
Both events are no charge.
