Green Industry Women has opened registration for its new Leadership Lab, a year-long leadership development program designed to help women across the green industry build skills, confidence and connections.

The program welcomes women at every level, from emerging leaders and crew supervisors to executives and business owners. Companies can sponsor individual employees to participate in the Leadership Lab or bring the program in-house for their own teams.

The program launches Feb. 8, 2027, at $99 per participant per month, with a 12-month commitment. An annual payment option is also available at a discounted rate.

Women working in landscaping, horticulture, garden centers, nurseries and related sectors can access ongoing leadership education, live coaching, hands-on skill-building sessions and a supportive professional community, with recorded coaching sessions and flexible learning resources that participants can access alongside their daily responsibilities.

Founded by executive coach and keynote speaker Megan Taylor Morrison, Green Industry Women brings experience supporting leaders from organizations across the horticulture and landscaping sectors, including Costa Farms, AmericanHort, Syngenta, DeGroot, Mahoney's Garden Centers, Nufarm and Eagle Lake Nurseries, among others.

Morrison has also spoken at industry conferences including Cultivate, SiteOne’s Women in the Green Industry Conference, Northern Green, Landscape Ontario, and the Texas Nursery & Landscape Association.

"Leadership development shouldn't be reserved for executives or companies with large training budgets," Morrison said. "There are talented women leading teams and driving results across this industry who deserve access to high-quality professional development. We created the Leadership Lab to make that possible."

Each month, participants receive:

  • A focused leadership module featuring practical lessons, tools and resources.
  • Live coaching and Q&A to address real workplace challenges.
  • An optional facilitated skill-building lab featuring experiential exercises that help participants put new skills into practice.
  • An ongoing professional community where women can exchange ideas, share experiences and build relationships with peers across the industry.

Training topics include difficult conversations, delegation, accountability, time management, decision-making, navigating workplace dynamics, preventing burnout and communicating with confidence.

The program is also designed to respond to participants' evolving needs, with opportunities for members and sponsoring employers to help shape the leadership topics addressed throughout the year.

"Great leadership has an enormous impact on employee engagement, retention, communication and business performance," Morrison said. "Our goal is to give companies a simple, affordable way to invest in their people, as well as to give women the tools and support to become the leaders they want to be."
