In an industry where the majority of growers offer the same quality-grown plants, customer service is one way to differentiate your business from all the rest.
“84% of companies that work to improve their customer experience report an increase in their revenue,” according to Forbes.
Sue Markgraf explains in Nursery Management magazine that customer service is not a fire extinguisher, and this vital function should be treated as a foundation of your business, not just damage control.
“Companies with a customer experience mindset drive revenue 4-8% higher than the rest of their industries,” according to Forbes.
Markgraf explains, “Transparent communication is the heartbeat of a successful customer service relationship. When a buyer knows exactly what is coming, and how and when it will arrive, transactions are smooth. When it’s as quiet as a silent night, customers are left guessing. And then, it’s time to put out fires, which is not a good experience for anybody.”
