The University of Georgia Trial Gardens is hosting a public open house from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Saturday, June 20.
The annual event will provide an opportunity to view and vote for attendees' favorite plants in this year's garden, with guided tours of the Trial Gardens at 9:30 and 10:30 a.m.
There will also be a plant sale, which will include the Trial Gardens' unique antique dish gardens filled with colorful combos of flowers and succulents, each made by volunteer, Bj, and friends.
Allan Armitage will be signing copies of his new newest book, "The Common-Sense Gardener."
The Trial Gardens is located at 220 W. Green St., Athens, Georgia. The event is free and open to the public.
