Common name: Prairie dropseed
Description: Fine textured, emerald-green foliage is topped by delicate pink to brown-tinted blooms in the fall. Foliage turns to copper-gold in the fall and fades to creamy-white in winter.
Habit: Grows up to 3 feet high and wide.
Attributes: Flowers are slightly fragrant. Tolerates a wide range of soils and is drought tolerant.
Hardiness: USDA Hardiness Zones 3-9.
Landscape use: Groundcover, accent plant, in a rain garden and as erosion control.
