ST. PAUL, Minn. – Ecolab Pest Elimination announced it has acquired Guardian Pest Solutions — a pest management services business primarily serving commercial customers in the Minnesota, Iowa, Wisconsin, North and South Dakota, Illinois, Michigan and Nebraska area.
Founded in 1966, Guardian Pest Solutions is a family-owned business with more than 80 employees and approximately $9 million in revenue.
“We look forward to welcoming Guardian Pest Solutions employees to our 6,800-person global pest elimination business and to Ecolab — a company with more than 100 years of experience protecting people and the resources vital to life,” said Soraya Hlila, executive vice president and general manager, Global Pest Elimination.
Guardian Pest Solutions’ chief executive officer, Jason Wick, will stay on as a special advisor to Ecolab into 2026. This is to support a successful transition for employees and customers, said Ecolab.
Kemp Anderson, president of Kemp Anderson Consulting, advised Guardian Pest Solutions on the transaction. "It was an honor to represent Jason and Jeff Wick and Guardian Pest Solutions, a second-generation company and one of the largest privately held pest control companies in the United States," Anderson said.
The transaction closed on Dec. 8. No additional transaction terms will be disclosed.
