Ehrlich Pest Control donated $5,000 to the Maryland Food Bank to support the organization’s ongoing initiatives. This donation was a result of the pop-up “Pestaurant” event that occurred in late September in Baltimore. At the event, passersby were invited to sample bug-infused dishes (i.e., June beetle-encrusted croquettes, fried cricket crostini, Maryland mealworm crab cakes and grasshopper bark). For every person who tasted one of the bug-infused dishes or entered the cricket-eating contest, Ehrlich made a donation to the Maryland Food Bank. Each dollar the Maryland Food Bank received equals three meals for food Marylanders in need; this donation is equivalent to 15,000 meals.
