Michael Orlino

After a decade of learning the pest control industry ropes working for his father’s business, Superior Pest Elimination, Michael Orlino established United Pest Solutions, which he said caters to high-profile clients such as banks, museums and corporate real estate, primarily in Manhattan.

“My dad [Michael Orlino Sr.] focused more on residential and city contracts. I saw potential for growth in corporate sectors, which many traditional pest control companies overlook,” said Orlino, who entered the pest management industry as a service technician at Superior Pest Elimination right out of high school, working his way up through various roles.

Currently, United Pest Solutions employs six technicians and has more than 300 accounts, covering New York City, as well as parts of Florida and New Jersey. Orlino said future plans include organic growth stemming from word-of-mouth referrals and direct networking. — Brad Harbison
