FREDERICKSBURG, Va. – The Virginia Pest Management Association (VPMA) announced the addition of six new master technicians following an intensive two-day training focused on Cockroaches and Blood-Feeding Arthropods. These dedicated professionals have demonstrated exceptional expertise and commitment to advancing their knowledge in pest management, the association said,
The newest VPMA Master Technicians include:
- Geoffrey Gurr, Kenneth Teachey, and Brian Pendleton – Accel Pest & Termite Control LLC
- Eric Douglas, Damian Phillips, and Sterling Wilson – Fox Pest Control
The VPMA Master Technician program is designed to provide in-depth, hands-on training that equips pest management professionals with specialized knowledge in key pest categories. The recent sessions, held over two days, covered the biology, behavior and advanced treatment strategies for cockroaches and blood-feeding arthropods, ensuring that participants are prepared to tackle these challenging pests with precision and effectiveness.
To earn the master technician designation, professionals must successfully complete training and demonstrate mastery in at least four of the eight specialized specimen groups offered by VPMA. This rigorous standard ensures that Master Technicians possess advanced expertise in multiple areas of pest control, enhancing their ability to protect public health and safety.
