ATHENS, Ga. – The Georgia Pest Control Association (GPCA) held the 2025 Winter Conference at the University of GA Conference Center in Athens, Ga., celebrating the 75th anniversary of the association.
The event included over 50 speakers on multiple topics, 55 exhibitors and nearly 500 attendees.
“A great team and months of planning produced an amazing time of education, community and celebration. We are grateful for partnerships with the Georgia Department of Agriculture and honored that NPMA President, Faye Golden was able to participate," said Glenda Lehmberg, executive director of GPCA.
To celebrate the 75th anniversary, Corteva provided a Banner of Honor for all to sign. The Georgia Deptartment of Agriculture Commissioner Tyler Harper spoke and signed the banner, along with UGA mascot Hairy Dawg.
University of Georgia mascot Hairy Dawg & UGA cheerleaders, as well as key leaders within GPCA, kicked off the celebration which honored award winners, past presidents, Hall of Fame members and leadership within the association before serving cupcakes.
Those honored with awards include the following:
- GPCA Hall of Fame: Dr Dan Suiter, University of GA and Lee Tubbs, Enviroguard.
- Outstanding Pest Management Professional: Brian Kohl, Peachtree Pest Control.
- Woman of Excellence: Alyson Gilleland, Arrow Exterminators.
- Administrative Professional Award: Connie Carpenter, SSI Pest Arrest.
