Name: Leucothoe fontanesiana
Common name: Drooping leucothoe, fetterbush, doghobble
Description: Evergreen shrub with drooping spikes of waxy, white and fragrant flowers in spring. The leathery leaves emerge bronze and turn a deep green. In winter, foliage turns bronze or purple. It has a cascading habit and grows from 3-6 feet tall and wide.
Hardiness: USDA Hardiness Zones 5-8.
In the landscape: Partial to full shade; moist, well-drained soils; prefers acid soil. Use in a border or for naturalizing.
